There may any number of reasons for why the video is not working. If a video is required for your class, you can take the steps listed below. Otherwise, you can contact Student Tech Support for further assistance.
Video in Canvas Not Working
If your instructor has one of the videos embedded into a Canvas page and there is an error, you may need to access the video directly instead. If the video is from our Streaming Video Databases, then you can access the video by doing a search in OneSearch using the title of the video. Click on the correct record and the link provided. If accessing the video from off campus, you may need to log in using your MyGiant login credentials.
If a video is not from any of our Streaming Video Databases but another source and you are having problems, you can go through any of the steps below, contact your instructor, or contact Student Tech Support.
Video Doesn't Load or Video is Stuck on Loading Screen
- Update your Web Browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Edge, etc.) to the latest version.
- Close any extra open tabs in your Web Browser.
- Clear your cache and cookies in your browser (this can be accessed usually in the settings of your Web Browser).
- Try a different Web Browser.
- Check Internet connection.
