You can book a one-on-one appointment with a COS Librarian. They can help you with understanding your assignment/project, teaching effective search strategies for finding articles or research, finding reliable sources, and citing sources.
You can make an appointment by going to this link: https://cos.libcal.com/appointments. Or by going to our Ask a Librarian page and clicking on "Make Appointment."
Select a location from the drop-down menu (Hanford, Tulare, Visalia, or online). Then, select a date and time. If you prefer a specific Librarian, you can select from the list and it will give you the date and time they are available for an appointment. Otherwise, if you have no preference, you can just select a date and time and click continue.
You will be taken to a form where you fill in your information. Once you have filled in the form, click on "Confirm Appointment." Details of the appointment should be emailed to you. If you need to cancel an appointment, a link should be provided in the confirmation email.
If you have additional questions, call the Ask a Librarian Desk at (559) 737-6179, email at library@cos.edu, or chat during our hours of operation.
