COS students, faculty, and staff may borrow books from the Library using a valid student ID card OR another form of photo ID along with their banner ID number.

It does not cost anything to borrow library books.

A set number of books may be borrowed at a time and the items must be returned by a certain time and/or date, in the same condition in which it was borrowed. The person borrowing the items is responsible for all items checked out from the library and any damage or loss associated with those items. If an item is damaged or not returned by or within a set amount of time after the due date, the borrower may be charged a replacement fee for the item plus processing fees.

If money was used to purchase or rent a book at COS, it is most likely a Bookstore item. The COS Bookstore is separate from the library and any questions related to renting or purchasing of textbooks should be made directly with the Bookstore.
