You can use our library catalog, OneSearch, to search for specific journals. To access OneSearch, go to the COS homepage, and click on the Library/LRC tab. Click on the blue box titled, “OneSearch.”
-
In the search bar, type the name of the journal (ex: Wall Street Journal). Some journals may have specific names in OneSearch; for example, The New York Times is listed as "The New-York Times"; however, the Los Angeles Times appears as "Los Angeles Times (Online)." Make sure to double-check the spelling of the journal.
-
If the COS Library has access to the journal, it should appear in the results. Click on the journal title to open its record.
-
Under the “View Online” section, you will see a list of library databases that have the journal with coverage dates. Review the coverage dates to ensure the database has access to the journal issue you need. Click on the database name (ex: U.S. Newsstream) to access the journal.
-
Most databases will allow you to browse different issues of the journal and search within it. Click on any of the article titles to view the article.
-
If you can’t find the journal, you can Ask a Librarian in person or through chat, email, or phone.
